Italian tourist investigated for reckless driving on the road from El Roque to El Cotillo.
The Civil Guard investigates a driver for this crime in Fuerteventura following the publication of a video on social networks
The components of the Traffic Detachment of Puerto del Rosario, has clarified on January 24 a crime against security with the investigation of an Italian tourist who was driving a rental vehicle on the FV-10 road (Puerto del Rosario - Cotillo), by allowing the occupant of the vehicle to take out through the passenger window the body exposed to the waist.
This investigation was initiated by the components of the Traffic Group following the publication of a video on social networks in which the behavior described was observed. Immediately the appropriate steps were initiated that allowed to know exactly the place of the facts, being treated by the signs and characteristics of the road of the road called FV-10 (Puerto del Rosario - Cotillo), running the videos between kilometer points 32 and 36.
Once the facts were located, the components of the Fuerteventura Traffic Detachment carried out the appropriate checks to know the ownership of the tourism, turning out to be a vehicle rental company without a driver.
Identified the person responsible for the rental of the vehicle and being a tourist not resident in Spain and the object of its location, the Civil Guard carried out a specific surveillance in the vicinity of the lodging area, locating the vehicle with two occupants, corresponding to the characteristics of the man who occupied the place of the companion with those of the person who is observed in the video outside the window.
For this reason, the driver was investigated for the alleged authorship of a crime of reckless driving with risk to the lives of other people, leaving the proceedings carried out at the judicial disposal of the corresponding guard court of Puerto del Rosario.
