The sky of Corralejo is dyed with colors with the 37th International Kite Festival
Hundreds of kites will cross the sky of Corralejo in the 37th edition of one of the most consolidated Events on the local agenda, the International Kite Festival. The City Council of La Oliva, through the Department of Tourism, directed by David Fajardo, presented the festival this Friday.
Events such as the exhibition of acrobatic kites, free flights, musical atmosphere, children's bouncy castles and different environmental workshops will liven up these days for the enjoyment of tourists and residents.
This year, the night-time drone show is consolidated with a total of 220 drones that will take flight on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 November, thus becoming the largest exhibition made in the Canary Islands to date. On the other hand, in addition to having the usual day dedicated to schoolchildren, the festival will develop, on this occasion, a day for our seniors so that they can enjoy this special event, this time adapted to their needs.
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco points out: "There is no doubt that in its 37th edition the festival has gone beyond local limits and is already an event that many visitors seek to attend every year. The different Events of these days will attract tourists and residents, which is why our environmental commitment becomes firm by virtue of preserving our environment through a clear environmental awareness."
For his part, the Councilor for Tourism and Environment, David Fajardo, highlights: "The festival is a unique event, not only for the activities it offers, but also for the location in which it takes place, our extraordinary landscapes of kilometre-long beaches of golden sand. In addition, the night drone show proposed for the first time in the previous edition, is consolidated this year with 220 devices that will bring with them an extraordinary exhibition with surprises for the attendees.
This action responds to the local government's commitment to support a tourist event of international projection while promoting sustainable and responsible behaviors with the landscape of La Oliva.
