Lidl on the Costa de Antigua Industrial Estate

A Lidl sign has replace the old Gambrinus one on the corner of the Broncemar Beach complex, overlooking the main roundabout in Caleta.  It tells you where it is and what the opening times are.

I wonder if they are going to have a rear exit up the side of the building nearest Mercadona ?  They were hard coring a road up there yesterday.

Went by earlier - looked like there is an exit to the rear.

They have now laid 'grass' at the front and rear of the store.

It was officially opened by the Mayor today, before the public opening tomorrow.

I'll stay away for a week or so before I go and have a look round.  I've never been a fan of the Lidl in Puerto.

It is open and it is busy, in fact it is so busy they have 2 car park attendants on duty a people are parking Mercadona hope they are also shopping there.  Didn't shop at Lidl today.

There is an exit to the rear road down the side nearest Mercadona and there are 4 electric car charging points.

Would be interested if selling the same own brands as in the UK or if the range is different and how prices compare to next door. Quite remarkable how they opened so quickly.

I wouldn't imagine they'll be selling anything different to the one in Puerto - be interesting to see if the one in Puerto goes quieter.

I'm surprised and happy to be proved wrong on this one. Lidl have shown how things can be done, even on Fuerte, if you put your mind to it!

Can't help with the UK - Fuerteventura comparison as we don't have a Lidl near us in the UK so use Aldi, Lidl cleaning products here on Fuerteventura are branded W5.

Will do a price comparison on some items when we shop at new Lidl in next few days but based on PDR shop for identical product i.e 15 Aerial washing tablets Mercandona were 0.96€ dearer, toothpaste the same price are a couple I can tell you about.

In relation to fruit and veg we have found the Lidl produce lasts far better than the Aldi produce in the UK.

A few pictures I took on our first visit to the store on it's fourth day of being open.  Spotted they are still working on the shaded parking bays

                   

They had run out of the Aerial washing pods at 3.19€, not surprised, yesterdays price check i spotted and took advantage of was 12x330ml cans of Tropical Mercadona 5.88€ Lidl 4.59€
