Agents of the National Police have arrested in Puerto del Rosario a 22-year-old man, with a Police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of injury and illegal possession of weapons.
The Events were unleashed, the body reported in a statement, at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, on Secundino Alonso Street in the capital of Majorca. At that time, agents of the National Police who were carrying out work to prevent criminal offenses, were requested by several people. Upon arriving at the scene, they observed a man lying on the ground, conscious, with several bleeding wounds on his chest and leg.
After immediately requesting the presence of an ambulance, the agents provided first aid to the victim, compressing the wounds with the help of several witnesses, until the arrival of medical assistance that transferred the injured to a nearby hospital.
The victim, as well as several witnesses, told the agents how another individual, in the course of an argument, took out a knife and assaulted him, then fled.
With the physical characteristics provided, the Police officers carried out a search device in the vicinity, immediately locating the alleged perpetrator. He had blood-stained clothes and a wound on one hand, as well as recovering the weapon used in the attack, a "butterfly" type knife with a blade 8 centimeters long, also with traces of blood.
This person spontaneously told the agents what happened. For all these reasons, the agents proceeded to arrest him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of injury and illegal possession of weapons, and he was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
The detainee, together with the proceedings instructed for this purpose, was placed at the disposal of the Court acting as The Reef Guard.
