Rescue evacuates to Fuerteventura a sick crew member of the freighter "Doro".
Salvamento Marítimo has evacuated in the early afternoon of this Good Friday a crew member of the cargo ship "Doro" who suffered a medical emergency when the ship was sailing 46.3 kilometers east of Fuerteventura, as reported to Efe sources of the state society.
Around 1:00 p.m., the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center in Las Palmas received a call from the ship in which an urgent radiomedical consultation was required for one of the people on board.
Once carried out, the need to urgently evacuate the patient was confirmed, so the Helimer 201 moved to the area, where it was located in the vertical of the ship.
This is how the patient could be hoisted, who at 2.30 p.m. was already on board the Maritime Rescue aircraft, conscious and in apparent good health, so he was transferred to the helisurface of the General Hospital of Fuerteventura, in the capital of the island, where a medical team was waiting for him who was in charge of assisting him.
