When we passed on Sunday evening I was surprised to see how slow the finishing off is based on the post made by Tamara on 2/9

I just passed the works as well. I have been here long enough to know how slow things happen but this is taken forever to build a relatively small development. Just had a new petrol station, Costa coffee & Car wash in the UK took 2 months to complete on a major road.
The biggest problem for me is that everytime you drive past it for some reason a vehicle seems to be moving around, causing huge clouds of dust to spread over the road & surrounding areas. Yet no one thinks that it might be a good idea to make sure some water is sprayed over the ground to prevent dust.

Still not open! But looking as if it must be soon
2 strange white structures out the front, possibly wind turbines as the vanes at the top were turning slowly today (and I mean slowly considering the wind speed!).

Here you are Decho!
![]() I called in to fill up today. Speaking to the staff it has been open for a week. 2 guys providing assistance at the pumps. Massive forecourt, about 6 sets of pumps for cars, auto carwash, 2 pressure car washes, large shop selling the normal drinks and sweets etc, self service coffee bar. The 6 small units don't seem to be occupied yet. All very bright, clean and tidy as you would expect. ![]()

That’s not a bad price, certainly better than the DISA garage in town, but still slightly dearer than Puerto I think?
Always amuses me that the new station at the airport is as cheap as anywhere just about... Unlike the UK!

The new garage seems to have provided some much needed competition for DISA in the Corralejo Main Street where price seems to have dropped from 1.08 to 1.03 for 95.

oops!
from Noticias: (around midday) The mill of the BP Gas Station in Corralejo falls due to the strong gusts of wind. The arrival of the storm Celia to Fuerteventura has not yet caused major accidents in the infrastructures or in transport, but if some setback like the one that was lived this noon at the BP gas station in Corralejo with the wind mill of these facilities. Gusts of wind above 70 kilometers per hour produced this accident in the northern town without having to regret personal injuries. At this time we proceed to remove the blades that fell from that structure. On the other hand, on the island, all extracurricular activities of the Ministry of Education and island sports activities have been suspended. In this sense, the Cabildo of Fuerteventura communicates "that due to the adverse Weather conditions due to wind, the activities planned in the Francisco Melián sports field, in the Nautical School and in the Insular Sports Pavilion are suspended today". "These activities will resume when the risk situation ends. This same measure has been adopted from the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands for the teaching and extracurricular activities scheduled for this afternoon". link to original article for pic
