Mercadona at La Hondura is closed on 7th October. What is the public holiday and which day is it on?

It is the public holiday for the Fiesta of Nuestra Señora del Rosario - the patron saint of Puerto del Rosario.
There have been Fiesta Events on in Puerto for the last 10 days. All public buildings and most shops will be closed on Monday 7 October. I haven't got any classes with my students tomorrow as they are on holiday

As the 12th is a holiday and it is a Saturday, does this mean that places that do not normally open on a Saturday will take either the previous Friday or the following Monday as a holiday?
To me drinking responsibly means do not spill it.

No, if a public holiday falls on a Saturday then a day off is not taken in lieu.
