Ryanair, how do we get home ?

EU has put guidance on EU261. No compensation. They are still requiring duty of care but outside of that it seems either a refund or a rebooking.

Hi, not exactly on subject but a Ryanair post.
Just had the email from Ryanair telling me my flight of 2nd April has been cancelled.
Trying to access the weblink does not work - i expected this! It says not available, maybe due to volume of traffic?
As i have a return flight i suspect at the moment only the outbound leg has been cancelled. So reluctant to do anything until the return leg is cancelled 10 days later.
Social media is full of angry customers, i don't want to be one of them and would be happy to take a credit and use another day, after all we all have an interest in keeping the airlines afloat.
I have no issues with poor customer service, i expect it. I am suspicious the system will make it difficult to obtain a refund anyway.
But many will want refunds now as they may not believe the airlines will survive or need the Money.

Thoughts or recent experiences anyone?

I finally got the Refund to work.
Seems like our flight was NOT "Ryanair UK" but was "Ryanair (FR)".

The topic here had been changed to "How do we get home":   NOT my original question. Our flight TO Fuerte was cancelled but not the flight back to UK. Flight back to UK not much use when we couldn't get out to Fuerteventura.

Anyway, will wait and see if the Refund arrives within the promised 7 + (5 to 7) days.

According to the Aena website yesterday there were three Ryanair flights to the U.K. All left with only small delays.

Today the three flights due to come out and back have all been cancelled so these passengers are stuck.

Not good news for anyone trying to go back to the UK.

Our friends were due to fly back to the UK with Ryanair today 21st of March to East Midlands, they were sent a email from airline saying flight cancelled.

So they went onto Ryanair website and booked flights to Birmingham with Ryanair for £700 for two one way tickets for yesterdays 20th of March 11am flight.

They arrived at the airport early to check in, there was a lot of people waiting in line and after 2 hours they was told that the tickets they had were standby tickets only and the flight was full!.

To cut a long story short after a lot of complaining etc   by around 150 customers it resulted in Ryanair sending out a plane to pick up stranded passengers back to Manchester with a take off time of 10pm.

So after getting 2 taxis as you can only have one passenger per taxi! 44 Euro each! 15 stressful hours at Fuerteventura airport 2 Ryanair tickets! they finally got home at 5.30am this morning.

Why do airlines treat customers this way? unbelievable terrible.

Why haven't the EU / governments regulated that different airlines work together to repatriate passengers.

I have just heard from a neighbour that they have a friend sat on a Jet 2 plane on the tarmac with 90 empty seats and they are waiting to try and fill them so why are there other waiting / stranded passengers  not being transferred on to this plane by order of the government.

Surely this can't be the legal position. Sounds like the taxistas profiteering to me.

From my window I've just watched two people being picked up by an Antigua taxi - they must have been going to the airport as they had cases.

The ruling is a maximum of 2 passengers in a taxi.

I know the Ayuntamiento website said that was allowed but I daresay a taxi driver could do what he wanted.
