Not good news for anyone trying to go back to the UK.
Our friends were due to fly back to the UK with
Ryanair today 21st of March to East Midlands, they were sent a email from airline saying flight cancelled.
So they went onto
Ryanair website and booked flights to Birmingham with
Ryanair for £700 for two one way tickets for yesterdays 20th of March 11am flight.
They arrived at the airport early to check in, there was a lot of people waiting in line and after 2 hours they was told that the tickets they had were standby tickets only and the flight was full!.
To cut a long story short after a lot of complaining etc by around 150 customers it resulted in
Ryanair sending out a plane to pick up stranded passengers back to Manchester with a take off time of 10pm.
So after getting 2 taxis as you can only have one passenger per taxi! 44 Euro each! 15 stressful hours at Fuerteventura airport 2
Ryanair tickets! they finally got home at 5.30am this morning.
Why do airlines treat customers this way? unbelievable terrible.
