Ryanair refund!!!!!!
#1
Hello same old topic but has anyone got any idea how to contact Ryanair . I am sick of going through the Bots and at the end i wait 2hrs and no customer service person ever comes on so i give up. I am due out in October still not sure if i am going to risk it, but i would like my flight refund from May before i embark on another flight. Here’s hoping

Hi,

Talking to the chat bit is a total waste of time as it only directs you to the webpage all about vouchers!

Likewise emails are useless as the automated response also directs you to the page all about vouchers!

In the end, I gave up and resorted to a phone call to 0330 100 78 38.

A lot of pressing buttons until you get into the system for refunds. About 16 minutes before I got to a human. Nice guy called Erik, who was very helpful.

Give flight booking reference, date of flight etc...

Promised a refund in 7 days for my March flight to UK flight and my return journey outbound in May and return in July. That was Tuesday this week.

This morning,  Saturday,  I got the refund for the May/July flights, over £400.  Still waiting the March flight, part of which was used as a voucher, but will be watching bank account and ringing again next week if it doesn't appear.

Good luck.

Tom.

Great news Haribo, congrats!

Wouldn't Ryanair be willing to transfer your tickets to other date if the Canary Islands are still on the list of non recomended destinations by the Foreign Office?

Re insurance: I believe it is still the case of any tourist being insured (COVID related) by the Canarian government since their foot touches the ground. Check this post please - https://fuerteventura.click/Thread-Trave...4#pid18754

Hi Sam. Yes i read that thread and that is why i wanted cover for all other things ie urine infection or heart attack etc but my annual insurance provider said any trip would be void for all illnesses as FO has said it is a no go area they suggested go somewhere not on list. No use when you want to go to your own house. I tried a few yesterday but all they wanted to do was insure me for another destination!!, I will keep trying.

Regarding insurance for travel against the FCDO advice, there is a company named Staysure, that are currently offering this protection as an add-on to a single trip or annual policy. Whilst this does not cover any COVID related claims, it ensures the other aspects of the policy are not invalidated. Maybe this is one you have already contacted, but if not check them out, website is easy to find.

I am looking at this, in conjunction with the cover that the Canarian Govt are offering, as sufficient cover for a trip I am planning this winter.

At time of writing, it was £5 extra to add this on to a policy. As usual, look carefully at any insurance terms and policy wording before making a decision. Note to mods, hope I am not violating any rules by promoting a company on the board, for transparency I am currently a customer of theirs but I have never claimed with them.

Had flights booked for a 12 day trip but with quarantine have to shorten the trip at the end of the month - just paid euro 9.99 each for two flights back from Fuerteventura. I know insurance is an issue for many but these are crazy prices.
