They may think the security at a small airport is lax. Or they might feel they can blend in better with a bunch of tourists. Or maybe they got a package . Who knows

So, the second guy managed to get passed the airline desk check at Fuerteventura airport and was only spotted at Leeds. The protocol is to send them back with the same airline, to the embarkation airport - in this case FV.
Wonder how many others are trying this as a 'soft' entry point to the UK? And why?

Will, I don't recall mentioning check-in desk? The 'desk' I meant was at the gate - that is where airline staff verify passports if you check-in online or not.

A 35 year old Syrian woman has been arrested at Fuerteventura airport for trying to travel with a stolen Danish passport. She was intending to fly to London.
