I read an article this morning where one of the councillors responsible for transport, I am not sure which one, is suggesting That all taxis from whichever Ayumento be allowed to pick up from The Airport, providing he has dropped someone there, the idea is to have someone to marshal arrivals in to separate queues, therefor enabling taxis from Pajara or Olivia etc to collect a return fare, and avoid travelling back empty, in my opinion for what it is worth is it is an excellent idea. But call me a sceptic I think the chance of it happening are close to zero, thoughts anyone?

I agree an excellent idea, PDR taxi drivers might not like it.

There are unfortunately two issues here Sam, .1. It is logical, and The Spanish do not do Logic and .2. Self interest will always prevail sadly, the volumes of traffic coming through the airport far outweigh any of the harbours, and in my humble opinion that is what will win the day, I seem to remember that part of the argument for allowing it revolved around speeding up getting a taxi from the airport, every time I have come through it has never been an issue?
