The Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through the Works and Machinery Service, directed by Blas Acosta, intensifies the conditioning work of the Pozo Negro Experimental Farm so that everything is ready for the celebration of the Island Fair of Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing (FEAGA) 2024.
According to the president of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Lola García, these actions are part of the work necessary for the Pozo Negro Experimental Farm to be ready to host the great annual event with the primary sector of the entire Archipelago.
For his part, the vice-president and councillor of the area, Blas Acosta, explains that the crews work on deep cleaning with specific machinery around the exhibition halls, as well as on the cleaning and watering of the gardens, spreading picón, planting mulberry and piteras at the entrance, also in the conditioning of the gambuesa and the stable.
"These works are in addition to those already carried out for the cleaning and painting of facades, execution of sidewalks, carpentry work, welding, the conditioning of the unpaved roads, accesses and parking area of the enclosure," adds Acosta.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Matías Peña, appreciates the coordination between ministries to have everything ready for the current edition of the FEAGA Fair, which will be held from May 16 to 19 with novelties in its program and promoting Majorero customs and activities for the little ones. It is the most important event in the Canary Islands aimed at agricultural, livestock and fishing activities.
