Action by the City Council of Antigua in a space used for the dumping of debris
The mayor, Matías Peña, accompanied by the Chief Deputy Inspector of the Local Police, has witnessed the action of the City Council of Antigua in a point described as "critical" in Caleta de Fuste for being an area without lighting, negligently used as a place to throw waste and debris.
"Municipal workers remove several trucks of debris and the structure of several old abandoned huts that only led to insecurity in this area," says the mayor, who explains that "the City Council of Antigua is drafting a project that modifies, cleans and uses this area for years excluded from the plans for modernization and improvement of the town of Caleta de Fuste."
The mayor also announces the conversations that are being held with those responsible for the Caleta Garden complex in order to learn about the actions to improve and beautify this infrastructure and its adjoining perimeter.
"The action that is being carried out at this time will continue after the removal of old structures and abandoned debris, conditioning the area with small projects to improve sidewalks, accesses, provide lighting to the place and uses of use for the area, providing more security to this enclave in the very heart of the tourist town," adds the councilor, Matías Peña.
