The Civil Guard of the Puerto del Rosario Post, in Fuerteventura, has arrested in the town of Caleta de Fuste (Antigua) two individuals as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation suffered by a citizen on May 1 in Caleta de Fuste.
The Civil Guard became aware of a violent robbery thanks to a tip received by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES). Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found the victim accompanied by several people who had witnessed the attack, although the alleged perpetrators had already fled. Due to the injuries suffered, the victim had to be transferred to a medical center to receive the necessary care.
According to the first investigations, the aggressors used knives to intimidate the victim and violently hit her on the head with a belt buckle. After the attack, they stole a mobile phone and other personal belongings, the total value of which is estimated at about five hundred euros.
The investigation, carried out by the Puerto del Rosario Post, made it possible to identify the alleged perpetrators, who had been alternating their whereabouts between different properties in Puerto del Rosario and Caleta de Fuste, in the municipality of Antigua.
A search device was established to locate the perpetrators, which was achieved, a few days after the Events, proceeding to arrest them in the vicinity of the town of Caleta de Fuste.
The detainees, together with the proceedings instructed for that purpose, were placed at the disposal of the Acting Guard Court of Puerto del Rosario, determining the entry into provisional detention of the two detainees due to the seriousness and concurrent circumstances of the facts.
