Hello, my first post here although I am following the forum since some time already. Does it mean that flights to Canary Islands will not resume before the end of June? Do you have any reference to this news? I have my ticket for June 23 but still keeping my fingers crossed .

If you've a booking with EasyJet
Quote:... but would prefer not to fly then from 13.03.2020 you can now change your flight online and we will waive the flight change fee. This applies to all existing and new bookings until further notice. Should there be a difference in fare you’ll need to pay this - however by waiving the change fee, we want to ensure you have more flexibility to amend your travel plans.

Ryanair i'm afraid - from what i can see they are only offering re booking on flights to 31st May.
Tomfuerte - the plan as announced reads to me as though no chance of any international flights in the short term certainly not this side of June.

Thanks Tamara, I think as Spitfire has said that there needs to be clear clarification as the first para of your post or para one of the Phase one details doesn't mention no inter island travel, hence my thought that travel from Gran Canaria to Fuerteventura or even Lanzarote was ok as it is the same Province.
Watch this space for more details, hopefully in the next 24hrs in relation to the exercise we can take from this weekend.

Yeah, I think my holiday would not count as normal for most people anyway. I usually travel alone and particularly like nature and hiking in remote places far from crowded resorts. Let's hope for the best!

We can go out for a one hour walk or exercise within 1 km, but under strict time limits:
From El Pais -
Speaking at a news conference on Thursday afternoon, Health Minister Salvador Illa said that starting on Saturday, adults may go out for individual exercise once a day, without making contact with third parties, and within their own municipality of residence. All kinds of sports are allowed as long as they are practiced individually.
Adults may also go out on one-hour walks, either alone or with one other member of their household, as long as they remain within a one-kilometer radius of their home
Both of these activities must take place between 6am and 10 am, or between 8pm and 11pm.
As for outings with children, which have been allowed since Sunday of last week, these will now have to take place between 12 noon and 7pm.
People who need to go out with a caregiver and seniors over 70 years of age have their own time slots of 10 am to noon and 7pm to 8pm.

Walks and exercise starting 2nd May
The following information has been taken and translated from a live press conference given by Salvador Illa, Health Minister, today 30th April 2020 at 6pm.
The population (from 14 year olds upwards) will be allowed to take walks and do exercise from Saturday 2nd May.
The ‘de-escalation’ Committee has established "time slots" to organize the outings of the population and protect the most vulnerable groups. The decision was made "according to the data that shows the good evolution of the pandemic in Spain," they explain.
⭐️ Adults from the age 14 years old upwards may go out for walks or to do exercise within the time slot of 6am to 10am, and from 8pm to 11pm. Once a day, one hour only. Walks radius 1km. Exercise can be more but only inside municipality.
⭐️ Dependent adults (elderly, those with a carer, etc) may go out between 10am and 12 midday, and between 7pm and 8pm. Walk is Once a day, one hour. Radius 1km. Inside municipality.
⭐️ Children (under 14 years old) may now only go out between 12 midday and 7pm. Under the same conditions as before, with only 1 adult, maximum 3 children. No meetings with other children nor adults, nor playing with others. Once a day, one hour. Radius 1km. Inside municipality.
✅ You may use bicycles, scooters, roller-skates, surf boards even! As long as the sport that you are practicing, you do it ALONE. Once a day inside your municipality.
✅ You may take a walk with one other person, with whom you live. 1 hour, 1km, once a day.
✅ And always clean/disinfect all equipment used while outside, when back home. And of course, wash your hands well, etc. These are government recommendations.
✅ When going out for the walk with persons from your same home, it is highly recommended to wear a mask. It is understood that when practicing exercise or sport, it is not so easy to wear a mask, due to heavy breathing etc.
✅ You must at ALL TIMES keep at least a 2 metre distance from all other persons.
Remember, the walk (which can be done with ONE PERSON ONLY, who lives with you), is different to the exercise, that must be done alone. For example, to go out to cycle or a run, you must go alone. If you are just going for a normal short walk, you can do it with someone you live with.
🚫You must NOT use communal sport areas for example; tennis courts, Football pitches, etc. The use of these areas is NOT PERMITTED.
🚫No comment was given on golf courses. We would assume it counts as a communal sport area.
🚫You cannot take your car to go somewhere else, further away, for your walk or exercise. You must stay in your own municipality, without taking your car.
Each town hall may also give further regulations for their town. This news is for Spain in general.
In municipalities with a population of less than 5.000, these time slots do not apply. Those who live in such towns may do exercise/walks from 6am – 11pm, as there will be no risk of overcrowding.
Definition of dependent person: “A dependent person is one who has limitations to carry out one or more basic life activities, such as dressing, washing, cooking or shopping.” Source: Google.
