What's the weather like? - April 2020
#21
Good morning from Caleta where yesterday was as reported a nice day and evening.  The wind thermals were very strange at one point there were two layers of cloud, the lower one moving quickly from the SE and the higher one hardly moving at all from the NW.  Look at that thermometer photo at 6.36pm top temp in sun bottom the shade  Smile Smile Smile

This morning at 7.45 not a breath of wind, 14C, a few clouds overhead but a bank of cloud out east over the sea and some condensation.

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mostly sunny day, shade temperature to get up to 24 / 26C from 3pm to 6pmand the UV factor will reach a very rating of 10 at 1pm, you have been warned.

Wind from the N this morning at 13 to 17 Kmph  moving NE this afternoon at 18 to 20 Kmph with gusts up to 26 Kmph early evening.

Sunrise , sunset and  tide times -

Good morning from Caleta, as Captain didn't do any updates yesterday I hope he is OK and that his back problem hasn't worsened.  Yesterday was on the whole a very nice day as the photo show and those temperatures at 7.35pm were wonderful.

A little later this morning at 8.30am there are a few dark clouds about but a good amount of blue sky as well, 17C already, hardly a breath of wind and some condensation still on the car.

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mostly cloudy morning clearing from 1pm to give a sunny afternoon and evening, shade temperature to get up to 25C from 3pm to 7pm with the UV factor reaching 10 at 2pm

Wind from the N this morning at 18 to 22 Kmph moving NE this afternoon at 22 Kmph with occasion gusts up to 26 Kmph.

Sunrise, sunset & tide times -

There is a FULL MOON tonight / tomorrow morning at 3.35am

Clear and sunny from 1pm Cool Cool

I've still got a lot of back pain, John.  It's an old weakness since I first damaged it while making my bed in the Caleta Dorada apartments while on holiday in Caleta in 1996.

Yes a very nice sunny and hot afternoon yesterday, the moon was rise was fantastic.

This morning at 7.50am grey and overcast, a very light breeze, 17C already and no condensation on the car.  The moon setting compensates for no sighting of the sun rising.

Today's Caleta forecast -

Cloud to clear to leave a sunny late morning from 10am, this afternoon will be a mix of cloud and sun with the shade temperature getting up to 25C at 3pm and the UV factor reaching a very high 10 at 1pm.

Wind from the N this morning at 15 to 22 Kmph moving NE this afternoon increasing slightly at 22 to 24 Kmph with occasional gusts up to 28 Kmph

Tide, Sunrise & Sunset Times

Lovely day in Tindaya, very hot at times with high UV, needed factor on my neck, brisk breeze.

[Image: 6BTPct7.jpg] 8am, bit of mist/fog out at sea.
[Image: Ye5ZKnB.jpg] noon, saw several jet trails, unusual now!

Good morning from Caleta on Day 26 of the Lockdown.  The only thing I would add to Captains report for yesterday was that the wind was much stronger than forecast during the afternoon.

This morning at 7.45am clear overhead high wispy cloud to the west but out east over the sea there is a big bank of cloud, 15c, a light breeze and some condensation on the car.  Moon setting to the west visible sun rising in the east behind the bank of cloud.

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mix of cloud and sun this morning and a cloudy afternoon but I suspect the cloud will be high and thin giving hazy sunshine, shade temperature to reach 26C at 1pm and the UV factor will be 10 from noon until 2pm.

Wind from the N this morning at 20 to 24 Kmph moving NNE this afternoon increasing 26 to 28 Kmph with gusts up to 32 Kmph

Tide, sunrise and sunset times -

Midday Roof Terrace Wave Party update - much better morning than forecast and the afternoon is looking very promising

There was a drone up going along the sea front, not sure whether it was Police or private

The drone was probably the one being used by the Ayuntamiento to ensure that people don't go to the beach over the Easter period.

Clear and sunny all afternoon and the sun was strong. Cool
