Tindaya - Sunday
Beautiful sunshine all day but a cool breeze. In sheltered areas it was sweltering but in shade with breeze it was decidedly chilly. Great for the Boot Fair this morning which is held in a sheltered plaza but gardening this afternoon involved constant layering!

Good morning from Caleta

Another day yesterday that went much as forecast with the cloud clearing to leave a nice late morning and afternoon.  The pictures are mainly of Gran Tarajal where we went to see the cruise ship that had berthed there and the town had put on a great family day to mark the occasion. Driving back late afternoon the sun & shadows on the mountains was breathtaking.

This morning at 6.30am 70% cloud cover, 16C and little or no wind, by 7.10am the cloud is reducing, and there is a little condensation on the car.

Todays Caleta forecast- Cloud to clear by 10am to leave a sunny day with temperature reaching 24C by 1pm with a UV factor of 4 at mid-day, visibility good at 16km+
Wind from the NE to E during the day fairly light at 6 to 9mph

Have a nice day.

Thanks John WG.  Your timing is perfect as Yvonne and I are just rolling out of bed to start our day in Derbyshire where it is dark grey, cold and damp.  Sun won't be up for a bit yet. I'd put in a picture but it is easy to imagine, just think of a wet elephant's back drawn in charcoal watched on a 1960's TV.

Thanks Archer

Yes we certainly did enjoy our lunch, when we looked at the menu thought is was a little expensive but then we looked at the drink prices and thought they were very reasonable so decided to stay and in the end the food was excellent value for Money based on the quality & amount you got so thoroughly enjoyed it and will take people there again.  Will post a restaurant review later.

Tindaya - Tuesday

A gorgeous day with a bit more breeze than of late, but the breeze was warm.

The conditions were right to head down to the beach for sunset: low tide and setting sun mean you can see details in the cliffs that don't normally stand out so well.

Note a planet rising in the following pics, Saturn perhaps?:
