What's the weather like? - February 2019

Caleta 1pm to 5pm high wispy cloud no where near as thick as forecast so plenty of heat in the sun and currently 36C in the direct sun and 26C in the shade that is sheltered out of what light breeze there is

This past week has been almost unbelieveable. We have recorded 7 FULL days without one single cloud blotting the sun at anytime during the day,  up until today. And as John WG says, then there was just some light, high wispy cloud. My Weather station has recorded today's high as 28 deg. No wonder the TV is calling it a 'quasi summer'. And there's more to come before it breaks towards the end of the week. 

Compare that with this time last year. We recorded one day at a 'high' of 14.5deg (we beat that just with last night's low, here!). Other days ranged from 16 to 19deg and none were above 20deg. And sporadic rain.

The Weather couldn't be better. Perfect and it's February.

Well another fantastic day in Caleta yesterday and the cloud that did materialise during the afternoon was high wispy and thin as I previously mentioned.

                                 

This morning at 7.15 & 8am it was 12C, some condensation, light breeze and light wispy clouds to north a slightly heavier cloud to SE and S, a great sunrise.

                     

Todays Caleta forecast - A mix of sun and cloud this morning with cloud clearing by 3pm to leave a nice sunny late afternoon and early evening, temperature to reach 22C between 1pm and 4pm, feel like 23C, with a UV factor of 5 at mid-day, humidity averaging 60% today and visibility 16km+.  Wind from NNW this morning moving N at 12noon then NE for the afternoon, wind speed varying from 5 to 8mph during the day so a calm day for Fuerteventura.

Tindaya - Tuesday

SE Gales in the morning, very light NW breeze in the afternoon, strong NE breeze in the evening. Sunny and hot all day. Lots of tiny bugs arrived in the gales.

Morning from Caleta, yesterday another great day as forecast.

         

This morning at 7.45am clear sky, great sunrise, light breeze, a lot of condensation and 11C

                           

Todays Caleta forecast - What little cloud there is to clear by 10am to leave a great sunny day, temperature up to 24C at 5pm with a UV factor of up to 5 at mid-day, humidity averaging 55% today with the usual 16km+ visibility.  Wind from the NNW this morning at 5 to 7mph moving eastwards from mid-day to end up coming from the S at 4pm with speeds of no more than 5mph so a very calm day in store for Fuerteventura.

Thursday forecast as another sunny one and an odd shower forecast for Friday afternoon.
