What's the weather like? - February 2019

Good morning from Caleta well the Weather was as forecast yesterday and therefore it was warm and nice for the Carnival last evening. Visibility was poor you couldn't see Lanzarote from the middle / southern end of the Dunes.

         

This morning at 7am 12C cloudless but hazy sky, not a breath of wind again and no condensation. 

                     

Todays Caleta forecast - A repeat for the last couple of days sunny and warm temperature to reach 24C at 2pm feeling like 27C,  wind from NW this morning at 2mph moving towards the E from mid-day increasing to 8mph by 6pm

Morning from Caleta where the sun is shining yet again.  Yesterday as forecast so a great day for the end of the Carnival.

                     


               

6.30am this morning 12C clears starry sky and not a breath of wind again, by 8am the temp had dropped to 11C, still no wind but plenty of condensation

               

Todays Caleta forecast - Another nice sunny day, temperature up to 23C, with a UV factor of 6 at mid-day, humidity high in the 70%'s, wind from the NW this morning 5 to 9mph moving E  from 1pm easing down to 4mph by 5pm

Tindaya and Corralejo - Monday

The calima continues albeit with very little wind. The temps are very good just a shame about the poor visibility and air quality. The overhead night skies have been very clear so the calima is hanging as quite a low layer but it does show nicely at sunset.

Another nice day in Caleta yesterday and as Tamara has mentioned the continuing Calima is reducing visibility, Temperature in the sun at 6pm still 32C.

                     

This morning at 8am 11C light breeze, bright sunshine, high thin wispy clouds waning moon quite visible, and very very heavy condensation.

                     

Todays Caleta forecast - Sun & Cloud, cloud cover forecast to reach a max of 85% at 3pm but I suspect it will be high and thin. Temperatures up to 24C at 3pm with a UV factor of 6 at mid-day, humidity averaging 50% and visibility 16km+ but hazy.
Wind NNW this morning 5 to 8 mph moving NW / WSW  from 12noon to S by 3pm increasing in speed to 12mph before decreasing early evening whilst moving back to NNW by 8pm.

Tindaya - Tuesday

Another beautiful day. Hot and sunny with little or no breeze. Visibility still a bit poor but improving. Walked along beach 5.30 - 6.30pm and it was still lovely and warm. Temp has dropped sharply this evening and there is already a lot of condensation. The surf has really been booming the last few days - perhaps we have been hearing it more because of the lack of wind noise!

Yesterday as forecast and the cloud was high and thin so still plenty of sunshine and it was nice and warm 30C+

               

This morning a lot more cloud, a nice sunrise, 13C, some condensation and a very light breeze.

               

Todays Caleta forecast - Cloud to reduce and leave a clear sunny sky by 11am, temperature up to 21C from 1pm to 5pm, UV factor of 6 at mid-day, humidity averaging 70% today and visibility the usual 16km+
Wind from the N this morning 8 to 13mph moving NE from 1pm for the rest of the day increasing to 16mph by 5pm

Yesterday very much as forecast, still very hazy as you drove towards PDR, temperatures 29C at 6pm in the setting sun

                     

This morning at 6.30am 14C, 75% cloud cover, and quite breezy so no condensation.
