Good morning from Caleta where yesterday Accuweather was the more accurate forecast as it was a mainly cloudy day but warm and only a light wind.

This morning at 7.55 much cooler at 14C with a clear sky apart from some cloud over the sea to the east a light breeze and no condensation.

Today's Caleta forecast -

A sunny day with the shade temperature getting up to 22C from 2pm through until 4pm and the UV Factor reaching 4 from 11am through until 2pm, air quality fair.

Wind from the NW at 7 to 15 kmph this morning moving to come from the NE at 13 to 15 kmph with gusts up to 30 kmph this afternoon.

Good morning from Caleta where yesterday was as forecast a very nice sunny day as the photos show however some parts of the island appear to be having a bit of a Calima with some very hazy sunset photos posted on FB last night.

Today's Caleta forecast -

Another sunny day with no rain, shade temperature to reach 21C from 12 noon through until 4pm with the UV Factor reaching 4 from 11am through until 2pm, air quality fair to start and finish the day but poor 11am through to 5pm so a bit of a Calima.

Wind from a NE direction all day much stronger than the last few days at 20 to 30 kmph with gust up to 46 kmph this afternoon.

Looking at the Skiron Dust Forecast the Calima is increasing over the next few days, link - SKIRON

Sunrise, sunset & tide times -

Tindaya, the blustery gales started yesterday evening, from the East, and have not eased all night.

Good morning from Caleta where yesterday was much as forecast, wind but not as windy as the north of the island where I went with friends, definitely a calima giving a very hazy sunset.

This morning at 7.45am it was 17C but in the wind felt much cooler, 2 layers of cloud as can be seen in the first photo, no condensation.

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mix of cloud and sun, no rain forecast, shade temperature to get up to 22 / 23C at 3pm with the UV Factor reaching 5 at midday, air quality POOR.

Wind from a generally NE direction all day at 20 kmph with gusts up to 32 kmph this morning, easing slightly this afternoon 13 to 15 kmph with gusts up to 28 kmph.

Sunrise, sunset & tide times -

from Diario:

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has decreed the yellow warning for wind in the Canary Islands.
This Tuesday will affect the eastern islands along with Tenerife and La Gomera.
Specifically, the Aemet in the Canary Islands warns of very strong wind gusts that will reach 70 kilometers per hour, although occasionally they may exceed 80 kilometers per hour.
This is a southeast wind that will have an impact, mainly, on the west and north slopes.
This Tuesday the notice will come into force at 3.00 am for the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, and at 9.00 am for Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Gomera.
The notice will end for all at 5:59 p.m., according to Aemet.

The gales finally subsided late afternoon but I think they are due to return.

Hope WMG is OK, he's missed a couple of updates which is unusual.

Noticias:

The calima does not leave us, at least until Friday. Strong southeast winds will also accompany us on Wednesday morning that would be even stronger than today, with gusts that could exceed 80 kilometers per hour.

In this sense, the State Meteorological Agency has decreed a yellow warning throughout the morning of this Wednesday, with strong winds that would fall from 3:00 p.m. It is accompanied by a strong calima and temperatures around 24 degrees.

A lot of caution is recommended, especially in the north and west of the island, feeling strongly also in many towns in the interior.
