Good morning from Caleta, yesterday was as forecast a nice sunny day, once the sun went down it was cool.  This morning at 7am a full setting moon in the west, 12C, a few scattered high clouds and a light wind.

Today's Caleta forecast -

A sunny morning to start, clouding over from midday with a 43% chance of rain by 1pm increasing to 51% by 3pm, shade temperature to get up to 21C at 1pm for 4 hours, UV factor to reach 4 from 11am until 2pm when the sun is out, humidity to average 55%, cloud ceiling 9100mts all day, air quality fair and visibility very good for most of the day at 16Km+ down to 10Km mid-afternoon.

Wind from the N for most of the day moving NNE at midday for a couple of hours and NNW from 5pm, speeds today at 11 to 17Kmph with gusts up to 26Kmph early evening.

Pre-alert for storms in Fuerteventura for this Monday

The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies, based on the prediction of AEMET and other available sources and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of Cañarais for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena declares the Pre-Alert situation for the islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.

In this sense, the AEMET also declares a yellow warning for rain and storms with probable hail for both islands. The organization affirms that the complications would arrive after 7:00 p.m.

After the storms last Saturday in Lanzarote where a blanket of hail covered the central area of the island, in this case the AEMET transferred the warning to the two easternmost islands of the archipelago.

Tindaya - I could see lightning out at sea (west) around 7.30pm. A couple of light showers during the evening and then a heavy shower woke me up around 2am.

Good morning from Caleta, the late afternoon and early evening yesterday was a mix of cloud and sun but no more rain.

               

This morning at 7.40am it is 13C, clear sky overhead but banks of clouds to the east, south and west, a light wind blowing from the N.

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mix of sun and cloud, no rain is forecast for Caleta however AEMet are forecasting an 80% chance of rain for PDR this afternoon, shade temperature in Caleta to get up to 21C for 4 hours from 1pm, the UV factor will reach 5 at midday, humidity to average 57%, cloud ceiling 9100mts, air quality fair and visibility very good at 16Km+

Wind from the NNW this morning and afternoon at 17 to 20Kmph with gusts up to 33Kmph moving to come from the N from 6pm at similar strengths.

Good morning from Caleta where yesterday was much as forecast, it was chilly in the wind when there was no sun, we didn't have any rain.

   

This morning at 8.15am 15C a fair amount of cloud and a light wind.

               

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mix of sun and cloud with the cloud increasing late afternoon, shade temperature to get up to 21C at 2pm with the UV factor reaching 5 at midday when the sun is out, humidity to average 57%, cloud ceiling starting out at 9100mts until4pm and then dropping down to 800mts by 8pm, air quality fair and visibility the usual very good 16Km+

Wind from the NW this morning moving to come from the N / NNE this afternoon and evening, speeds today 7 to 13Kmph with gusts up tp 24Kmph mid-afternoon

It did rain actually John but you can be forgiven for missing itas it lasted for around 5/6 mins  11:30 ish we were in town and management started to panic as she had washing out  and then again at 19:30 which lasted for an even shorter time,

Much as forecast so far apart from we had a very short shower of rain just after 5pm, hardly a breath of wind from 5pm through until now 10.40pm
