Woman in serious condition after being rescued on a beach in Fuerteventura.
Woman rescued with signs of drowning of a serious nature on a beach in Costa Calma, Pájara, Fuerteventuras.
As reported by 112 around 1:15 p.m.
Assessment of those affected provided by the SUC:
- Woman, about 70 years old, with signs of severe drowning, transferred in an ambulance from the SUC to the General Hospital of Fuertevnetura.
Services activated by CECOES 1-1-2:
- Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC): basic life support ambulance and medicalized ambulance
- Primary Care: doctor and nurse of the Local Office of Costa Calma
Remarks:
- At the time indicated above, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which they informed that the lifeguards on the beach had rescued from the sea a woman with signs of drowning and in cardiorespiratory arrest, and were performing basic resuscitation maneuvers.
- The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
- The medical personnel, upon arrival, continued with the basic and advanced resuscitation maneuvers managing to reverse the stop. After stabilizing the body, it is transferred to the island's hospital.
