World's largest classic sailing ship docks in Puerto del Rosario

On Tuesday, the grand Royal Clipper, the world's largest classic sailing ship, graced the port of Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura, as part of a luxurious cruise itinerary.
This majestic vessel, built in 2000 and inspired by the legendary 1902 Preussen, holds the Guinness World Record for the largest square-rigged ship in service.
Its impressive 42 sails cover a staggering 5,202 square metres across five masts. Measuring nearly 135 metres in length and over 16 metres in width, the ship weighs more than 5,000 tonnes.
Owned by the Swedish company Star Clippers, the Royal Clipper is a marvel born from the expansion of a Polish school ship project. It accommodates 227 passengers and 106 crew members, reminiscent of the legendary five-masted ships from the early 20th century.
Despite its classic exterior, the ship's interiors feature modern amenities, including a grand atrium with a skylight and a lounge with underwater views, offering a unique blend of historical elegance and contemporary luxury.
