A woman dies after falling into the sea on the coast of Fuerteventura, on the Costa de Ajuy, municipality of Pájara on the afternoon of June 27, 2024, around 8:26 p.m.
Assessment of those affected provided by the SUC:
32-year-old woman, deceased
Intervening services activated by CECOES 1 1 2:
Emergency Group of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura
Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC): basic life support ambulance and medicalized ambulance
Local Police
Civil Guard
Observations:
At the time indicated above, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1 1 2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that several people had fallen into the sea on the coast of Ajuy.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
Three of those affected were able to get out of the water and the fourth, a woman, was rescued from the sea by members of the Fuerteventura Island Council's Emergency Group and a private boat.
Once on the ground, SUC personnel confirmed the woman's death and assisted the other three victims, aged between 18 and 26, without requiring transfer to a health centre.
The Police forces activated by the Coordinating Center collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources and carried out the corresponding procedures.
