My friend who lives in Lanzarote just posted this.
'' Over a 1000 residents of Arrecife were tested for Coronavirus over the weekend as traces of COVID were found in waste water in the areas of San Francisco Javier and Tinasoroa. They are hoping to test 2000 people over the next 48 hours . Active cases in Lanzarote now 75. ''The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has begun this Saturday to screen for the Coronavirus in a sample of 2,000 people from the neighborhoods of San Francisco Javier and Tinasoria. This measure has been taken after detecting a significant presence of COVID in the wastewater analysis carried out by the Cabildo de Lanzarote. A team made up of health and non-health personnel is already working on carrying out PCR tests to detect the presence of COVID-19. This device is made up of 13 nurses and 3 nursing assistants, in addition to 2 orderlies and 3 clerks.'' https://www.lavozdelanzarote.com/actuali...5_102.html
