Arrested for seven robberies of cars in Puerto del Rosario.
Agents of the National Police have arrested, in Puerto del Rosario, a 45-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of seven crimes of robbery with force in vehicles.
The National Police began an investigation at the end of October this year, with a first report of a robbery with force in a vehicle, the Police force said in a statement.
For the robbery, a sharp tool had been used to make a hole next to the lock of the vehicle's doors, to later access the interior and steal any valuables.
After this first complaint, similar complaints were progressively received in the following days, in which the same "modus operandi" had been used, being a peculiar and novel method in the town of Puerto del Rosario, which led the Police officers to think that it could be the same perpetrator.
The steps taken by the investigators determined that the arrested man, who had a record for similar acts with the same technique in another town in Spanish territory, would have been the alleged perpetrator of the Events.
He was arrested as the perpetrator of a total of seven crimes of robbery with force in vehicles and placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority
