Anyone have any exciting updates on the state of things up in the golf courses? Has anything changed? Is the level of security/squatter occupation worse, the same, or better than earlier this year? Is anyone concerned about the potential for that new development of a water park and hotels in the blank space between the town and the Sheraton? I imagine that would impact the houses on the town side of the older golf course significantly if it went ahead?
Would appreciate any insight anyone has on these issues!
Morning Ducks, haven't heard anything about squatters on Fuerteventura Golf, which is where our villa is, since we have been back, don't know about Salinas Golf.
Re developments things move at a very slow pace the new school development that has started up by the Anjoca / Elba laundry was proposed well over 10 years ago and has only just started. Re the land next to the Sheraton I have no idea. The land on the opposite side of the road on Fuerteventura golf behind the Anjoca Sales Office I am told can't start to be developed until all the properties in the Pueblo Majorero Development are sold, and that it will be a single story development when it is done.
Hope that helps.

from Radio Sintonia:
Three men arrested in Caleta de Fuste for the alleged crimes of robbery with force and squatting.
The Civil Guard of the Post of Puerto del Rosario, proceeded to the arrest of three men, between 22 and 39 years old, for the alleged crimes of robbery with force in the houses, occupation of property in degree of attempt and of injuries.
The facts began when the Civil Guard became aware, through a complaint filed in dependencies of the Post of Puerto del Rosario, for the alleged theft of furniture, appliances and furnishings of a house located in a residential complex of Caleta de Fuste, where objects worth more than 7000 euros were stolen.
The first investigations focused on some people residing as squatters in the same complex, which allegedly possessed on the terrace of their home, objects of identical characteristics to those stolen and denounced.
Subsequently, the Civil Guard is alerted on November 18, of the attempt to occupy another house in the same complex, the agents appearing in the place, thus managing to thwart the occupation of the dwelling. There they observed how the person who allegedly tried to occupy the house, was apparently moving objects from another house, being able to verify that it was supposedly the same stolen objects and for which a complaint was filed on November 8.
