So we're due to travel out to our place in Fuerteventura from London this coming Saturday. Has anyone recently arrived into Fuerteventura and can share their experiences through immigration/airport?
It is my understanding that no
COVID tests are required at the moment when travelling from the UK to Fuerteventura - anyone able to confirm that?
Thanks!

We flew out two weeks ago and didn’t have a test, it was fine. Just filled out the SpTH form. At the UK airport they asked our destination to see what documentation we needed for where we were heading to. Other people needed PCR test evidence as they were going to a different country.
You may need a test or to be vaccinated if you’re checking in to accommodation, we didn’t as we have a place there.
Coming back we needed a test, plus pre-ordered day 2 & 8 tests and quarantine which is crap.

Thanks a lot for sharing - very useful.
It's really difficult to understand why there's no test requirement when going to Spain given the rapid rise of the delta variant in the UK. I would have felt much more comfortable onboard that plane if I knew all the passengers had been tested!
We'll probably be out in Fuerte until mid-
August, and being fully vaccinated, we're hoping the requirements on our return may be less strict. When our family of four returned to London in March, we spent close to £1000 just on testing.

That's not the case.

Just to add my experiences after having travelled over on the 19th and been here for a week now. At Manchester just the Spanish form QR code was checked and on arrival at FUE the code was scanned and a temperature check. For some reason the Guardia Civil took a particular interest In my hold baggage and scanned it before being let out of the airport, seemingly random and 2 other travelling groups had the same treatment
At the hotel my copy of proof of one vaccine dose was accepted, printed out from the nhs online service
Predictably lots of places closed, but in terms of tourists I have noticed and upturn over the last few days of mostly Spanish tourists I think.
It is nice to be able to walk around “sin mascarilla” outside however lots of people still wearing them outside and I at least to try to keep the “safe” distance if I encounter those who still choose too.
All in all I am glad I took the trip although it is sad to see the true effects of the restrictions our respective governments have put on us laid bare.
Just an ordinary guy with nothing to lose

ANOTHER CHANGE - from 1st July all visitors to Spain from the UK will need to to be fully vaccinated or have a PCR test to enter Spain due to the increase in cases of the Delta variant in the UK.
If you are travelling from the UK and can prove you have been fully vaccinated with an official digital or printed certificate, you can enter with the QR code from your locator form.
If you haven’t been fully vaccinated you will need to also produce a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of landing in Spain and its territories, including the Canary and Balearic Islands.
This measure, along with proof of recovering from the virus in the last 6 months, is the same required by Europeans to travel around the EUwhich also comes into effect on July 1st.

We had that happen to us too when we landed (from Luton) on Saturday 26th
June. Two of our bags had been taken off the carousel by Guardia Civil. The officer asked to see our passports, took some notes and then that was that. Did not have to open the bags, no further questions asked. No idea what that was about or what they could possibly achieve with what they did? Just bizarre.
Otherwise very straight forward through passport control. I'm Norwegian - I notice that they don't stamp my wife's passport (British) when she's travelling with me. Health forms scanned, though no temperature check was carried out on us.
The only "drama" during our trip was a family that was denied boarding as they hadn't filled in the health declaration forms. They tried doing it on their mobile phone in the boarding area but for some reason failed to complete it - I overheard the crew onboard talking about it just before departure. Such a shame, they were travelling with a very young child too. That said they really should have been aware of this requirement - it's communicated several times during and after booking the tickets.
