They dismantle several points of sale of drugs in Gran Canaria. The Civil Guard and the National Police in the framework of the Clan-destino operation and Grodd2 on October 27, 2022 arrested eight people, six men and two women, some of them with criminal records for similar Events, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of drug trafficking, when distributing and selling drugs in various parts of the island, seizing the agents narcotic substances, heroin, crack, methamphetamine, among others, in addition to useful for the preparation of the drug and more than 15,000 euros in cash, in Carrizal and Jinámar.
Knowledge of the facts
The Civil Guard was aware last May 2022 due to neighborhood complaints, therefore the pertinent investigations were carried out for the clarification of the facts, in which the Civil Guard detected an occupied farm in the town of Carrizal (Ingenio) from which an important activity of sale of narcotic substances was carried out, heroin, crack, and methamphetamine, among others, thus initiating the so-called Operation Clan-destiny.
Police investigation and inquiries
The Civil Guard initiated the corresponding surveillance and investigation measures, thus being able to collect all the Police investigations to identify those responsible for this active point of sale, detecting that a neighbor of Jinámar was from whom the previous ones were supplied with drugs.
Thus, during the investigation of the latter, it was possible to detect how he developed the sale of important consignments of heroin to clients who in turn were responsible for other points of sale on the island of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.
In this sense, the Civil Guard detected the use of the main investigated and arrested, drug mules traveling from Fuerteventura to the island of Gran Canaria by air and returning to that island by sea with consignments of heroin. In addition, the person involved in the aforementioned supplied heroin and other substances to a relative, who carried out a large activity of selling drugs in the town of Jinámar. Therefore, last June, a mule sent by this person was arrested, with 260 grams of heroin with him disembarking in the port of Morro Jable.

Regarding the surveillance and operations of the Civil Guard in Jinamar, through coordination between the Civil Guard and the National Police, several coincidences were obtained about people that the National Police investigated within the framework of the so-called Operation Grodd II. Given this circumstance, collaboration was established between both Police forces, determining the "modus operandi" used for the sale and supply of drugs by those investigated in that Teldense neighborhood.
Entry and Registration
On October 27, 2022, a wide deployment was carried out jointly and in coordination in both operations by the Organized Crime and Anti-Drug Team of the Civil Guard of Las Palmas, and the Narcotics Group of the National Police Station of Telde, with a total of ten house searches between the towns of Carrizal, Ingenio, neighborhoods of Las Remudas and Jinámar in Telde, and neighborhood of Marzagán in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
In the framework of the investigation, a total of 1,327 grams of heroin found in various places of concealment, 300 grams of MDMA, 8 grams of cocaine and 19 grams of crack distributed in various papers and doses, several bottles with cutting substance, more than 15,000 euros in cash and useful for the preparation of narcotic substances were seized.
