Radio Sintonia:
'Fuerteventura al Golpito' opens its registration for four new routes.
The program 'Fuerteventura al Golpito' of the Ministry of Education and Youth of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura opens the registration to four routes around the island aimed at young people between 16 and 35 years old.
The routes will be of low difficulty and three hours long, appropriate for the participants. These routes will run through the different landscapes and ecosystems offered by the island, such as the Las Calderas route, which runs between Corralejo and Lajares, which will be held on December 10; the Ethnographic route, Betancuria – Toto, on January 15; the route of the Cliffs, Tindaya – Esquinzo – El Cotillo, on December 11; and the route of the Cardones, Cardón – El Tanquito, on December 18.
Registration is free and can be done through the www.fuerteventurajoven.es website. The routes have a free shuttle service with departures from Puerto del Rosario and Gran Tarajal.
"At this stage we have given a boost to this program with routes through educational centers and open routes like these four that we propose now with the aim that the population knows our island through hiking and can access the landscapes offered by the island," says the counselor María Saavedra.
In total about 220 young people will be able to participate in these four routes.
Tamara: shame that GSDGirl won't be on the island to tag along behind the group from Corralejo on 10th December - I think this is the route she was asking about!
