GES rescues a woman injured when she hit rocks in Fuerteventura.
The GES rescues a woman injured when she hit the rocks in Fuerteventura, specifically in the area of Camino de Agua Liques towards La Pared, municipality of Pájara, as reported by 112 today, Friday, December 16 at 37:<> p.m.
Assessment of those affected provided by the SUC:
A 41-year-old woman presented with moderate polycontusions at the time of initial care, and was transferred in a basic life support ambulance to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
Services activated by CECOES 1-1-2:
Emergency and Rescue Group (GES): a rescue helicopter
Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC): a basic life support ambulance
Pájara Fire Brigade
Remarks:
At the time indicated above, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that a woman had been pulled from the water after she had hit the rocks and was injured.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
The GES helicopter located the affected woman, who had been transferred by other people to a safer area, and proceeded to rescue and evacuate her to Fuerteventura Airport.
A basic life support ambulance from the SUC was waiting for her there, whose staff attended to the injured woman and transferred her to the aforementioned hospital.
Firefighters from Pájara collaborated in the rescue of the affected woman.
