A 34-year-old rescued in critical condition in Cofete.
About 2:07 p.m. this afternoon a 34-year-old man of German origin who, at the first moment of assistance, shows signs of drowning and is in cardiorespiratory arrest, transferred in the medicalizedhelicopter of the SUC to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
At the time indicated above, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert informing that several bathers had rescued from the sea a young man unconscious and with signs of drowning.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
Among the bathers on the beach was a doctor who found that the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest and began to practice basic resuscitation maneuvers until the arrival of the SUC team.
The health personnel of the SUC, upon arrival, continued with the basic and advanced resuscitation maneuvers managing to reverse the stop and, after stabilizing the affected, proceeded to transfer him to the hospital in Gran Canaria where he arrived in critical condition.
