Radio Sintonia:
New water rescue vehicle operational in La Oliva.
The City Council of La Oliva reinforces its commitment to safety on the beaches by incorporating a water rescue vehicle. This measure aims to improve rescue operations at sea and ensure the safety of visitors and residents who enjoy the beaches of the municipality.
The aquatic rescue vehicle, of the SEABOB RESCUE brand, offers versatility and efficiency in dangerous situations, and its implementation has been carried out after a training course provided by the company supplying the equipment. The course, which took place in Grandes Playas, Corralejo, allowed lifeguards to learn about the various possibilities offered by the machine in rescue scenarios.
The mayor of the City of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, highlighted the importance of strengthening the beach surveillance service due to the considerable influx of people that the municipality receives annually. "Strengthening this service will contribute to increasing our quality as a safe tourist destination, making both our local population and our visitors can enjoy our idyllic beaches," said the Mayor.
The SEABOB RESCUE, powered by an electrical and ecological system, can be launched by a person without technical aids and allows a quick movement of the rescuer to the rescue area. Its system of side anchors facilitates the attachment of accessories and towing equipment, allowing the rescuer to maneuver effectively. Key features include the ability to perform deep area rescues and safely transport unconscious people.
