Hi Karen, my wife met a lady that looks after rental properties in Caleta when she was last over in March, we were looking for someone to keep an eye on our property, prepare it before and after each visit, we also wanted someone to furnish it for us and maybe hold a key whilst we are back in the UK, i feel a little lost at present but this forum seems a great place to get advice. We haven't committed to anyone yet so if anyone on the forum could recommend someone to provide such a service please do so.
I would welcome any feedback you may have after your visit.

Photos I took this morning are in the Photo Gallery - Development and other works of
www.caletafuerteventura.com.
Some of the apartments at the western end now have their patio windows in, and they were putting down hardcore on the road that will lead into the site.
The showhouse/apartment is not open yet.

April handover? When we signed our contract we were told late Autumn, then it changed to
December 19, then in March it changed to Feb 20, now
April 20.
Contractually, ours should be handed over by
December (18 months after the build licence was granted). Wonder how many share my disappointment.

Jason - I understand your disappointment but this is Fuerte! You have to remember that Fuerte time is different to the rest of the world, mañana, mañana, mañana! And don't translate that to a literal 'tomorrow', take it as some unspecified time in the future! Once you learn to live with that concept you can relax and enjoy living here. I really do appreciate how difficult it is when you aren't actually living on the island and need to arrange everything around work, holidays, flights etc but the laid back attitude/lifestyle is one of the reasons most of us choose to visit or live here - celebrate it, it will all happen when it's meant to be

Actually a delay from
December to
April is just a moment in Fuerte time, most people here would consider
April to be ahead of schedule - that's how we deal with dates/deadlines etc, add on 6 months - 2 years depending on size of project and then you 'might' see the project come in on time

(Once again, to everyone, never believe what estate agents/developers tell you - they are just interested in making sales, pinch of salt comes to mind.)

Thanks Tamara - my wife doesn't know about this latest delay, i think ours will be ready well before
April as we are in the first apartment block but i guess it can't be handed over until the whole site is ready. We are back in
October so i think i might let the developer explain to her. I am sure once she looks in the finished apartment she will calm down.
