Repatriation from Fuerteventura

dcticker. I don't think this overnighting rule applies to you. When they say 'transiting' through Spain, they may be referring to travellers using a hub like Madrid to return from say Buenos Aires for onward travel. You are not doing that...you are already in Spanish territory.

Let us all know how you get on. Hope it all goes to plan.  Thumbs Up

Wizz Air update:

Tenerife South to Luton flight tonight has been cancelled. All future Wizz Air flights TFS to Luton no longer appear on their reservation system.

I did notice an article about Torres requesting TFS be added as an authorised airport setup to receive incoming passengers to Spain, reference the new 14 day quarantine rules.

Thank you Archer that's what I thought but it's so difficult trying to make sense of all the information being thrown at you!  Our son works at one of the biggest hospitals in the South West so we know we can't actually meet him but we do want to go home!

Anyone looking to return to the UK without the long stopovers offered via Madrid or Tenerife South have a new option. No thanks to the FCO!

Barring any last minute issues, Wizz Air will commence new flights to Luton from Gran Canaria starting next Thursday (4th).. They will run Thursday, Saturday and Tuesday. Good times  - 11:30am departure, so you can take the early morning Binter flight and connect with plenty of time.

Thanks to Wizz Air for confirming this extra UK repatriation flight  Thumbs Up

Well, that sounds interesting, but I read that Wizz Air have not been reliable and although they schedule flights, often they are cancelled at last minute.

Emmi, yes, I agree that they had to cancel 3 rotations to TFS. But not through their own fault.

Since then it has run regularly. As you know TFS has not been a convenient route for those in Fuerteventura or Lanzarote, so the new Wizz Air service from LPA will be a handy additional option. We will just have to see how it performs.

In addition, Iberia Express are going to increase their available flights to the peninsular, so the Madrid route may open up again without the need for a 28hr layover!!

AND in the press today, they are talking of opening up the borders to the Canaries and Balearics earlier than the general 01 July date!

Seems a bit of confusion in the rules. Not everyone can agree.

Just for general information Jet2.com  have cancelled our July 16th flight to Manchester.

The email said they are operating a reduced programme.

We will wait for the refund and re-book later.   They were very good about this in April.

Keep safe!

Our Christmas and New Year visitors return to the UK yesterday 4/1 on the Ryan Air Stanstead flight apparently no one on the out coming flight so they boarded as soon as it landed and only 9 passengers returned to the UK, it should have been 12, 3 didn't turn up.
