I'm a bit confused. My TIE, and those of my friends, were valid for five years, so not due for renewal yet.  I'm guessing your TIE was only valid for a year and was issued post-brexit.

If that is correct, then I understand that you do need exactly the same documents and status as when you originally applied.

I agree with Cotillo_Tom, my TIE's issued Feb '21 has an expiry date of 23 02 2026, however as I got Residencia (Green Card which I have kept a copy of) in Dec '18 I will be exchanging my Temporary one it for a Permanent one in Dec '23 as the date of your residency starts from when your green card was issued.  Miguel at BoxPro has already done this for someone back in May.

No, 1 year should be sufficient proof that it is ongoing.

However, your financial support proof can depend on a couple of things. If your funds are from passive income then, again, you only need to prove 1 year.  If it is from savings then officially you will be required to show 2 years worth, unless you manage to get an official whose wife was nice to him that morning Wink  Always safest to be ready for the official requirement

My TIE is due for changing from temp to Perm on the basis of my green card not the date on the TIE
My homework says I do not need anything special.
But is anyone aware of needing to prove for example time in/time out of Spain/Tax statements etc in addition to submitting the standard paperwork.
I don,t have a problem with anything that I know of but it is always nice to be prepared.

I have started the journey to swap Temp TIE to Permanent.
Initially I could not get an online appointment, the response was always non available to you at this time.(I went online because this was the recommended method)
I was going to wait until after the 6th Jan and then phone.
However I was bored and tried again to my surprise with success.
I now have an appointment on the 31st Jan.The earliest available!
my route:-
google search Sede Electronica administraciones publicas
Select Extranera
Select Cita previa de extranjeria. Scroll to bottom of this page push "acceder al procedimiento"
Next few bits fairly obvious.
If no dates available try another day.or Telephone 928 856 282
There is also another link via UK Gov but you need to select "if you registered before 6 July 2020"
I will be going in with copies of green cert, padrons old and new, copy of previous form 023, article 15 and anything else I can think of.

David thanks for that information, we will be interested to hear how you get on as based on our first Green Residencia Card our 5 years was up on December 18th, but were told that we couldn't get our temporary TIE's changed to permanent until the expiry date on the temporary TIE.

Thanks guys for the info, I will attempt to get an appointment as our green cards were issued 6th Feb 2019, TIE was issued 10th Sept 2020. I do hope its from when the green cards were issued or another wasted journey into Rosario. I will keep all posted.
