Visit to Risco Prieto industrial estate today, Puerto del Rosario. 11.30am - 2pm.
Tindaya to Puerto, quite a lot of traffic on roads. Followed by
Trafico on motorbikes around ring road but they carried on towards airport as I turned off for Ideal.
So many cars on the industrial estate considering how few businesses are open! The road up to Ideal was almost fully parked both sides of the road and Electron's car park had few spaces. Someone is doing works on the industrial estate, busying digging up paths, JCB doing trenches in rough ground etc. No signage indicating what/who. Got really cheesed with the guys digging up path at bottom corner of Ideal, they were creating so much dust that was blowing directly on to the queue, glad I had a mask, well, snood really, on.
Queue at Ideal was about 10 people when I joined but only took 10 minutes before I could go in. Help yourself to gel at the door, no gloves, no temperature checks, no disinfectant of trolleys/baskets - I got an extra dollop of gel and smeared it all over the handle. Quite a few people inside, 95% very good at observing social distancing but as I've found elsewhere there were a couple of morons who hadn't seemed to have heard of it. Obviously shopping together, ignoring other people who were hanging back waiting for someone else to finish looking at a section and barging in. Saw them tap a member of staff on shoulder to get attention and then they completely ignored the queue and walked straight up to a checkout position next to the person already being served. The security guy intervened, pointed out the queue, they got the strop and put their stuff down and attempted to walk out - the security guy wasn't having it and insisted they went back and out through the 'no purchases' bit so they went through scanners. This provided entertainment for the queue (it was taking about 20 mins to get to checkout) and was met with general approval

.
Not having got all I wanted I drove round to ferreteria Marcial Gonzalez opposite Nissan. No queue, straight in, got one more thing I wanted, straight out. This place is useful as it is where you can get wood cut on request. Good range of paint products, plumbing bits etc.
Round to Quimicas Morales for pool chemicals, served at office door. No cards, only cash here.
Meant to check if the 'Boutique' was open but forgot. I call it
Cyrano de Bergerac, can never remember it's name
, Turn right when coming back down from Electron.
Coming back around the ring road I turned off to check if Saavedra had started opening but no sign of life.
When I went past Oasis garden centre I noticed their road barrier was up, not seen that lately, possible they are open or possibly just for maintenance staff.
Also a lot of work going on right the way up the hill towards the technology park. Heavy machinery and lots of workers.
