That makes more sense, I initially thought of tortoise rather than turtle, but terrapin makes sense

There are a couple of turtles around again.
Plus we saw 4 medium sized Atlantic trigger fish, they are about twice the size of our local ones. Also seeing more "wahoo"(before any one asks I have no idea) In discussion the general(non scientific) discussion is that the peces sighted around here are definitely changing. One positive factor is that the horrible sea urchins have all but disappeared in deeper water. The min deepwater (20 metres plus) temp is still a tad above 19c. In the past jan to end March it has dropped to 17c,which is xxxxxxfreezing and the wimps resort to Drysuits

Thanks for your update David.
On the subject of Wahoo a friend catches them from time to time from his boat off of Corralejo -I don't like fish to eat but apparently for those who do they are very palatable and a good sized fish provides plenty of steaks. The last one he caught measured almost 5'. (pic is from internet)

Thanks for that Tamara, they are ugly brutes and very fast.
They seem to poach from the shoals that Barracuda round up.
