The gales are back, in Tindaya

Good morning from Caleta, Tamara very many thanks for your concern, I had a very bad night with hip & leg sciatica so didn't feel up to much yesterday morning all ok now thank you.

Yesterday the Calima certainly increased all over the island as it was as bad in the centre and NW of the island as we drove to El Cotillo for the last evening of our friends visit so a very hazy sunset.

           

               

This morning at 7.40 18C, a few high clouds, very hazy over the sea and hills, a light breeze and no condensation.

                   

Today's Caleta forecast - 

The Calima is set to continue and there is a Yellow Warning for Wind until 3pm

A hazy sunshine day with a shade temperature high of 23C from 2pm though until 7pm, UV Factor to reach 5 at midday and the air quality is POOR.

Wind fro a South Easterly direction all day at 11 to 19 kmph with gusts up to 32 kmph at lunch time.

Tindaya has been battered by fierce gales all night and they're still going strong now. My windsock ended up in a field about 100m away, still attached to a 2m metal pole!

Much as forecast yesterday hazy sunshine, some cloud at times and very warm, in Caleta at times only a breath of wind.

                           

This morning at 7.45am 17C fair amount of cloud grey and heavy to the NW, clearer as we can see the distant hills this morning only a light breeze no condensation.

                       

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mix of sun and cloud, sun hazy at times so still a bit of a Calima, shade temperature to get up to 23C from 3pm through to 5pm with a UV factor high of 5 early afternoon, air quality POOR this morning and fair this afternoon.

Wind from the SW this morning at 11 to 13 kmph with gusts up to 22 kmph moving to come from the SE this afternoon easing down to 4 kmph by 5pm

The gales continued in Tindaya until teatime when they eased and then stopped completely mid evening. A peaceful night until about 4am when the gales returned but I don't think they are quite as strong or consistent this morning. It got very warm yesterday and stayed 22c overnight.

A much better day than forecast, sunny until just before 5pm when some high cloud has come over inland, the wind has eased as the afternoon went on to hardly  a light breeze now, still very warm.

A mostly sunny day with a few clouds, no rain forecast, shade temperature high of 23C from 2pm through until 4pm, the UV Factor will reach 5 at midday and air quality is POOR this morning and fair this afternoon.

Wind from the NW this morning at 4 to 6 kmph with gusts up to 11 kmph late morning, moving to come from the NE this afternoon increasing as the afternoon goes on to 13 kmph with gusts up to 32 kmph by 6pm.

Not quite as forecast yesterday a lot of cloud but it was warm in very light winds

               

               

An early start today as off to golf by 7.40 so at 7.15 it is a chilly 14C in light wind, clear overhead with no condensation.

A sunny day with a shade temperature high of 22C at 3pm with the UV factor reaching 5 at midday, air quality FAIR all day.

Wind from the NW this morning at 13 to 19 kmph with gusts up to 35 at midday moving to come from the NE this afternoon at 20 kmph with gusts up to 39 kmph mid-afternoon, easing this evening.

Good morning from Caleta where yesterday was as forecast a great sunny day with a cooling wind during the afternoon.

                   

This morning at 7.50am it was 13C, clear sky, the sun is up, a light breeze and a little condensation on the car.

Another sunny day with a shade temperature high of 22C at midday when the UV Factor will also reach 5, air quality fair.

Wind from the NW this morning at 13 to 17 kmph with gusts up to 28 kmph, moving to come from the NE this afternoon increasing to 20 kmph with gust up to 37 kmph mid-afternoon.
