Found then boring out of new seedpods on the daturas today!: Looks like some kind of Hawk moth Tamara Despite the toxic sap that daturas have, hawk moth caterpillars have no problem munching the leaves. The adult moths also like to visit the flowers during the evening / night when the scent is at its strongest.

Looks like the ones I call the chameleons as they seem to change colour according to their surroundings - I love them! See post #22. Gone Fishing thinks they could be Crab/Flower spiders.

Don't think so/hope so, and he was still in same area of terrace today.
If he is still there tomorrow, after the rain, is there any way I can do a 'cockroach test' to find out for sure? ![]() Any doubt and it's the extreme annihilation spray I'm afraid! Edit: couldn't forget about him so I've just been out in the rain, with a torch, and found him! Now bagged ready for further investigation in the morning! Dog thought it was good fun!
