400 kilos of cocaine on a plane at Fuerteventura airport

If you look at the plane in the report (assuming it isn't just a stock photo of any old plane) the registration number is EC-JMX

If you then google the registration number,  you can track its flight history at  https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/ec-jxm

This website: http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/EC-JXM.html  shows the owner as HELIWORLD Compañía Aérea SL  Madrid, 28043 Spain

And with this report  https://www.thelocal.de/20190405/cocaine...-pomerania claiming that 500kgs of coke to be worth €25 million the 400kgs Fuerte haul could be worth €20 million

I remember seeing reports of large drug consignments being landed by aircraft on main roads in the USA and the planes just abandoned once the drugs had been offloaded.

Taking into account the value of the cargo, it appears that even an aircraft is considered expendable.

With loads of concrete blocks around it so it can't be moved unofficially.

I wonder if it will become a tourist site like the SS American Star, gradually being reclaimed by the tarmac?

It has been there for nearly 2 months now, and I have said it before it will probably be sat there until someone is on trial
for whatever offence, as I assume it is considered as evidence, by which time the airport parking fees will outweigh the value of the aircraft, it is Spanish registered so someone must know to whom it belongs surely

OK, I missed that post, and be sure there will be airport parking charges, and probably a landing charge as weel as there is at every civil airport.
