The lifeguards of the swimming pool of a lodging complex in Pájara rescued a 10-year-old girl with signs of moderate drowning at around 2.40 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112.
In this sense, while the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) was on its way to the scene, the staff of the complex performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers at the slightest.
Upon arrival, the SUC health workers assessed the girl and, after assisting her, transferred her to the Virgen de la Peña General Hospital of Fuerteventura in a basic life support ambulance.
For their part, agents of the Local Police of Pájara were in charge of making the corresponding reports.
