A man was arrested for 10 robberies in Fuerteventura. with 47 arrests on his record
The detainee, who had recently been released from prison, "had generated great social alarm in different municipalities of the island of Fuerteventura.
The Civil Guard of Fuerteventura arrested last Friday a 45-year-old man, of Spanish nationality, and with numerous Police records, for his alleged participation in several robberies perpetrated, in different municipalities of Fuerteventura.
The detainee, who has 47 arrests in his record, "would be generating great social alarm since his release from prison on May 7, due to the continuous criminal activity in different areas of the island of Fuerteventura".
As a result of the Police investigations, he was charged with 11 criminal acts, of which 10 of them are classified as robberies with force and another against road safety by driving a vehicle without having obtained a driver's license.
After analyzing the different crime scenes, the investigators detected evidence that connected the robberies, despite having been committed on different days.
Due to the difficulty involved in the development of the investigation, given the extensive knowledge that the thief displayed in Police evasion methods, coordination with the Civil Guard of Gran Tarajal was decisive.
Thus, in the established monitoring operations, it was possible to surprise the assailant in possession of some of the objects stolen from the sports club in a town in the south of Fuerteventura".
Once sufficient evidence was collected to attribute the commission of the criminal acts to this person, various Police operations were established, to locate the alleged perpetrator of the facts, resulting in the arrest of the alleged perpetrator on June 14 in the southern town of Gran Tarajal.
The Armed Institute points out that "the recovery of some of the stolen effects" was achieved and the detainee was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority in conjunction with the proceedings, decreeing his entry into communicated preventive detention without bail.
