However, another item ordered at the same time and delved to UPS in Tamworth on 02/02/2021 and has allegedly left there, has not yet arrived in Madrid???

Were there any customs fees?

Just a quick update, the item has still not arrived it has been in Madrid since 8/02/2021  Amazon are now forcasting 23/03 for delivery.

I just had a fantastic experience with delivery from Amazon.de. Ordered on 13th May (standard delivery) and it arrived today (18th) - I was shocked

Definitely Correos related:  Today (30/12/21) I received 3 items, all sent as standard international post from the UK.  There were 2 birthday cards (from different regions of the UK) and a letter from HMRC.  As my birthday is 1st December, the cards were posted in early November.  The HMRC letter was dated 10 November.  It required a response from me by 10 December - fat chance!

It's only marginally better than no postal service at all.  I plan in future to get time-sensitive items sent to UK friends/family, and identify a courier service to get them to me here in reasonable time.  We seem to have a 3rd world postal service .

I was painting at a neighbour's house the other day when the postwoman(in uniform) turned up to deliver a parcel. She thought she was at Atalaya Park which is right at the top of Montaña Blanca! She had no idea where she was.
If I hadn't been there she would have left a paper, in the wrong post box, instructing it to be picked up from the Post Office! My neighbour won't be here for a few weeks yet, so that parcel would never have been collected.

I can relate to that! We dread it when our regular postie is on holiday each August and try to avoid ordering anything to be delivered during that time as the stand ins are nice people but pretty useless at finding adresses\people 😭
I'm still waiting for 2 parcels to arrive from UK, sent in Nov. Our postie hasn't been off recently so they must be held up in uk/Madrid /las Palmas.

Can I ask if these are being sent airmail and tracked? as i intend to order something for delivery to my daughter to be forwarded her but she is over the end of February so I am wondering should I wait for her to bring it with her?
