This is just unbelievable, the latest

In order to carry out the procedure, we need in PDF and in a single email: (never before mentioned)

- Notice of arrival completed and signed. Sheet 1, where the shipment number appears (upper left corner) and sheet 2, completed and signed.(does this even exist???)

- Invoice or screenshot of the purchase (the merchandise to be imported must appear, its value and the buyer's personal data).(this was already sent)

- Bank receipt that guarantees the purchase (bank account movement or PayPal receipt). (payment was made by debit card at a post office)

- Copy of the DNI, NIE or TIE of the recipient (the passport is not valid). If it were a company, send a copy of the CIF.(already sent)

You must submit all the documentation required so far in a single email, to carry out the corresponding procedure.

Please indicate the shipping number in the subject of the email to facilitate the process.(never before mentioned either)

I was sent one single form which I just had to sign then take a pic of the signed form, then also had to get the original receipt, my NIE certificate, tracking number and full address, but not my passport which I thought would be the next thing but now they're adding extra demands which they could've asked for at the start.

It's now 121 days, I've got stuff from China quicker, so far they've blamed Christmas, strike action and Brexit, gonna get them to return to sender and get a five year old to bring it over

Radio Sintonia:

Representatives of the workers of Correos in the province of Las Palmas spoke today in the studios of Radio Sintonía about the intention of the current Government to privatize this public service. In this sense, Ángel Cabanillas, provincial secretary of CCOO correos Las Palmas, Alexis Socorro, union delegate CCOO Las Palmas and Moisés Caballero of Comisiones Obreras Fuerteventura spoke.
The union is waiting to take this problem to the regional Parliament for this they have already contacted different political parties and are preparing mobilizations for the next days 1, 2, and 3 June.
So far according to the union presenters, the company modifies the working conditions of the workers, cuts the places and eliminates the motorized distribution among other measures, which in their opinion lead "to privatize this service" something for which they will fight with all the weapons at their disposal.

The conflict in Correos intensifies: thousands of packages accumulate in the centers of the Canary Islands

The jam goes from Madrid to the Canary Islands, where there are more than 3,000 packages, some pending since December. In Las Palmas the problem is greater

The chaos in the Post Office and that is causing the delay in the delivery of thousands of packages continues five months after the problem broke out in the middle of Christmas . However, if in December the jam was located in the Post Office depot in Madrid , the current blockage is in the Canary Islands .

As close sources indicate, Madrid "has gotten rid of the problem" and is sending the packages to the islands, so that the control required by Customs on merchandise arriving from third countries is carried out in the archipelago itself.

In the islands, the packages accumulate without the staff being able to cope with the barrage of work , since they have to review them manually due to the lack of adequate computer systems. Either they are scanned or packages are opened by hand, something postal inspectors are authorized to do.

It is estimated that there are currently 3,000 packages stopped in the centers of the Canary Islands . The problem is greater in the province of Las Palmas (with 2,500 packages stopped than in those of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (it is estimated that there are 500). There is still December merchandise in the warehouse centers without delivering.

Some cages in the post offices of the islands, where up to 200 packages can be accumulated, display handwritten signs with the words 'oldest' (as the images taken this Monday show), referring to the merchandise that has been around for the longest time. waiting to be delivered.

"We can't handle all of this. We have no capacity. The problem is with Correos, which has not adequately updated the system to review packages quickly and agilely, ” says the worker at a treatment center in Gran Canaria who prefers not to be identified.
As he explains, there are times when, among so many packages entering the Canary Islands, Correos warns that some have authorization. However, when verifying it "it gives an error" because, although it has passed the control, all the import procedures, such as the Dua, have not been carried out, according to him.

On social networks, users continue to complain about delays or celebrate when a package arrives after months of waiting.

A member of the Facebook group Autodespacho Canarias: Simplify the customs and import process , and which has become the beacon for all users of electronic commerce on the islands in the face of constant difficulties, pointed out this Monday (May 16) that there was received a package that I had purchased on November 4, 2021.

«No more than six months... Better to laugh... What a disaster!!! It was for kings », indicated this Canarian user.

Complaints and claims against Correos continue to increase and the service continues to worsen. The workers themselves claim to feel overwhelmed by the "barbarity" of demands that come in every day.

Trade union organizations have been warning for months that the devaluation that Correos is suffering is part of a strategy by the party that is in government to dismantle this public service and privatize it.

“Otherwise, it is not explained that they are not taking measures to improve the service or to change the general opinion that Canarian society is beginning to have that the Post Office is a disaster,” indicates the secretary of the CC OO in the Post Office, Ángel Cabanillas .

As he points out, in recent months several public service offices have been closed in the archipelago. Only in Gran Canaria have the Mesa y López (El Corte Inglés), Sebadal, Monte Lentiscal, the airport and number 5 that was in Miller Bajo disappeared. In the short and medium term, new closures are expected.
«The templates are decimated and overloaded with work. In this way it is impossible to provide a good service, which is what Post Office managers are looking for », he concludes.
