Hi all.. Quick question, I have been studying my latest Endesa Electricity bill and there is a charge for "Servicios Endesa X". It looks like it's some sort of maintenance add-on that I never asked for and is not an insignificant cost if added up over the year. Has anyone successfully cancelled that part of the contract as my initial attempts to do it online aren't getting anywhere. Thanks..

Thanks for pointing this out, I didn't realise it was optional. I did notice that
Importe Servicios Endesa X for 13,50€ (three months) on my bill this month. They started charghing us in May last year. I'm going to cancel it as well but because of the point below I have to wait until
April next year (I spoke to somebody from Endesa on the phone), too late now, I'm trapped. In the meantime though I'm going to use it and get an electrician to fix a few sockets in the house.
The one below is an excerpt from the
CONDICIONES GENERALES DEL CONTRATO DE SERVICIOS:
"10.- DURATION, ENTRY INTO FORCE AND START OF THE SERVICE The Service contracted with Endesa will have a duration of 1 year from its activation in Endesa's commercial system X - moment in which the provision of the service and the billing of the same will begin, and will be automatically extended for annual periods if there is no irrefutable communication by the parties with 1 month prior to the expiration date..."

No, the guy spoke Spanish only. Not that my Spanish is excellent but I can get by, given also that my first language is Italian my comprehension is facilitated. Going to the shop may be a good idea. Check the invoices retrospectively to see when they first charged you, you will be able to cancel the service 11 months after the beginning (i.e. mine was 11 May 21, I should have cancelled a couple of weeks ago, now I can only cancel it next year in
April). Hope this helps.
