Fibre Broadband in El Cotillo

Really interested in what you were saying about Movistar fibre optics, just want to ask if you are still pleased with it because we went to Avatel for fibre optics  and it is dreadful, in the evening speeds of less than 2mgbs  and we know for a fact that the majority of people that used their services are furious.

Just run speed-test.es over Wi-Fi (the results are better over a cable connection) and the results was:

Ping 225ms
Download 289.89 Mb/s
Upload 234.21 Mb/s
Jitter 22ms 

Compare this to my former ADSL at 3.5 down and 0.12 up!!!

Hi tom, would you mind giving me some helpful pointers? 

I went through all the stages and 6 no show appointments all of last year.

Then when they finally came to install. My neighbour refuse to let them connect me to the box which is on her land. 

Movistar are now saying (like yours did) that connection is not possible. 

Can you point me to where and how you complained to get the job done?

Go to movistar.es and look for the Contact Us button for Facebook Messenger. You can message them in English. It goes direct to the media team at the Madrid HQ.

Make sure you quote your full name, NIE, and address. You will not get an immediate answer as they need to contact local management for information. However, I will say they are excellent and will keep you updated. 

In the UK, you can't refuse access to BT staff to do work on junction boxes etc, but what the situation is in Spain is anyone's guess. 

I would hope it get updated to a local senior manager who may be able to deal with your neighbours.
