Radio Sintonia:
El Cotillo will have a ramp stranded in its port facilities.
The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands, directed by Sebastián Franquis, puts out to tender in the State Contracting Platform an action of Puertos Canarios to execute a ramp stranded in the port facilities of El Cotillo, in the municipality of La Oliva. This action, which has a budget of 130,517 euros, will restore the old ramp already demolished, providing the area with more space, safety and comfort for users of the facilities.
The projected ramp is six meters wide and 37 meters long, which will facilitate the beaching and launching of vessels with greater safety and comfort in the port. This ramp will be executed by means of a concrete wall en masse and an average slope of 12.50% and, in addition, it is planned to improve safety by adding a small wall of 0.50×0.50 meters on the face facing the sea to avoid possible falls. This beaching ramp will also incorporate a sliding door 7.50 meters wide and one meter high to control access to the facilities. In order to execute this action and that does not affect the current berthing of the boats, it is necessary to expand the existing pier a total of 7.58 meters in length, which will be carried out by metal formwork and mass concrete.
With this measure, the Ministry recovers the inclined passage through a beached ramp, since the previous installation was located in the inner basin, in poor condition, and forcing boats to navigate through areas of low draft. With the relocation of this new beaching ramp, not only is this facility recovered, but the access conditions for users of a facility focused on the professional fishing sector are improved.
Companies that want to submit bids can make them through the State Contracting Platform until March 29 at 13:00 p.m. For the execution of these works, a period of five months is estimated from the signing of the stakeout act.
