Radio Sintonia:
A nightlife venue in the downtown area of Puerto del Rosario has been sealed as a precautionary measure.
Officials of the Local Police of Puerto del Rosario and the National Police, in the early hours of Friday, February 9, proceeded to the precautionary seal of a nightlife venue in the downtown area of Puerto del Rosario.
The city council informs in a statement issued this morning that the actions began after several warnings about the alleged presence of minors inside the aforementioned premises, facts that were later verified by the intervening Police, who identified thirty-eight (38) minors, proceeding to locate their parents who appeared to take care of their respective children.
In addition to the protection measures adopted with minors by the Police, it was also detected how those responsible for the activity were exercising it by having works inside, in addition to having two bottles of 50 ml each of carbon dioxide in the premises, all without protection or security measures. This is incompatible with the parallel development of the activity and constituted a serious risk to the safety of people.
It was also possible to verify how there was an excess in the capacity of the premises, since more than 400 people were counted inside. At the request of the Police to those responsible to present the pertinent authorizations for the exercise of the activity; the works inside, where there was scaffolding and materials separated from the dance floor with a tarp and metal fences; the installation of carbon dioxide bottles; as well as the documentation relating to the compulsory civil liability insurance for the exercise of the activity, none of these documents could be shown at that time. For these reasons and after the minors were placed under the protection of their respective parents, the acting officials proceeded to seal the premises and process the report for the alleged commission of very serious and serious infractions of Law 7/2011, of April 5, on Classified Activities, Public Shows and other complementary administrative measures before the administration of the City Council of Puerto del Rosario for the processing of the Corresponding urban planning discipline file.
The facts were also brought to the attention of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of Puerto del Rosario.
Finally, the Government Group wishes to show its support for the work carried out on a daily basis by the Local Police together with the National Police, not only for the protection and safety of minors, but also in their daily work.
